Depresets

DEPRESETS (Depression + Music sets) came up from the idea of unifying the same place and the same feeling (sadness) over different musical interpretations. The project is defined as the performance that allows an artist to express their sensibility inside of an unwanted melancholic space.

The art direction was developed to define the conceptual journey, visual identity, set design, and the whished storytelling. Inspired by the VHS retro aesthetics, nostalgic subtitles, or the tribal graphics that shaped a style on young cultures during the Y2K’s, these elements worked as a genuine bond to our main audience that’ll find in this place an “escape gate” towards those things we vent from our melancholy but are no longer here. Every session is made under a scenery of dissonant lights, and disruptive colors along with a symbolic belonging.
